American professional racing driver

Danica Patrick is a former American professional racing driver. She is recognized as the most successful woman in American open-wheel car racing, and her win at the 2008 Indy Japan 300 is the only victory by a woman in the IndyCar Series. Patrick competed in the IndyCar Series and later the NASCAR Cup Series. She achieved several notable firsts for women in motorsports, including winning an IndyCar Series race in 2008 and earning a NASCAR Cup Series pole position at the 2013 Daytona 500.
