Billy Idol (born William Michael Albert Broad; November 30, 1955) is an English singer, songwriter, musician, and actor who rose to fame in the 1970s as the lead singer of the punk rock band Generation X and later achieved international solo superstardom during the MTV-driven "Second British Invasion".
